About me
Michael McLaughlin is the Head of Middle School at Austin Preparatory School, a 6-12 Catholic independent school in the tradition of Saint Augustine located in Reading, Massachusetts. McLaughlin serves on the Board of Directors of the New England League of Middle Schools (NELMS). He has presented for NELMS, the Association of Middle Level Educators (AMLE), the University of Notre Dame, the Sophia Institute for Teachers, and the Salem State Collaborative Project. A guest on "The Teacher As" podcast, he has also written several book reviews for MiddleWeb. McLaughlin is an avid writer and contributing author to many Sophia Institute Press publications: The Spirit of Truth, The Beatitudes, Human Sexuality: Understanding and Living the Theology of the Body, and Infusing the Faith. McLaughlin is on the board of Buckingham Education, Ltd. in the United Kingdom and enjoys traveling and writing about travel.
